1
What makes a Polymath Lab different
A Polymath Lab is an explicit intersection workspace. Its selected Fields define persistent scope; mentioning an extra topic in an agent question does not silently add that topic to the Lab.
2
Choose blocks by reasoning task
- Bridge maps a concept across Fields.
- Anti-Bridge records where an analogy fails.
- Translation Glossary aligns vocabulary.
- Method Transfer adapts a technique across contexts.
- Tension preserves a productive contradiction.
- Synthesis names and tests what emerges at the intersection.
3
Keep the intersection rigorous
- 1State the Fields and intended outcome.
- 2Record similarities and important differences.
- 3Treat analogies as hypotheses until tested.
- 4Use experiments, prediction ledgers, or datasets to create evidence.
- 5Publish a synthesis only when its lineage remains understandable.
